Abby, with a background in Tourism Policy, and Hotel and Restaurant management, believes that Rhyl is poised to reclaim its place as a destination. As Rhyl continues its transformation, the BID will work to improve perceptions, serve as the voice of business owners, and enhance economic activities in our town.
Mike Jones

Mike, born and raised in Rhyl, is a proud resident, who appreciates all Rhyl has to offer. Mike is committed to promoting his hometown and has worked in Customer Service roles in Rhyl since he was 16 years old. Mike is an animal lover, avid outdoorsman, and enjoys riding his motorbike in his time off.
Landon Sweeney
Landon SweeneyTown Ranger
Landon, with a background in Hospitality and Tourism, is well-versed in providing excellent service. Landon is looking forward to playing a role in supporting Rhyl’s business community and raising awareness of what is on offer. A working actor, Landon has appeared in film, on TV and regularly appears in stage productions around North Wales.

A dedicated team of local business people have been working together voluntarily over the past year to develop the BID and collect your ideas to create this Business Plan. The Board have organised a range of activities and meetings to gather views from as many businesses as possible. The Board is made up of a range of interests and businesses from Rhyl. Each of the members and their business or organisation, is strongly supporting the BID. These local champions have been involved from the start. They see the positive opportunity that the Rhyl BID creates.

Would you be interested in becoming a Board Member?

  • All Board Director positions are voluntary.
  • Candidates standing must work in the best interests of the Rhyl BID and must agree to deliver the agreed BID Business Plan.
  • Board Directors must attend a minimum of 50% of Boards meetings annually.
  • Each Director may be required to lead a minimum of one working group for a specified period of time to assist in the development of projects.
  • Appointments will be made by the Chair.
  • Candidates & Board Directors must declare any conflicts of interest.
